Stephen P. Smith, Jr., MD
Dr. Smith is the Director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He also ranks as Assistant Professor with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, perennially ranked amongst the nation’s premiere departments by US News & World Report.
Dr. Smith is a fourth-generation central Ohio surgeon. He studied Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. During his time in Philadelphia, Dr. Smith focused his time studying the concepts and practice of design, and received a minor in Art History. Dr. Smith graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2001, and served as Chapter President of the AOA Medical Honor Society. He then completed an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at The Ohio State University College of Medicine where he received the Medical Director's Citizenship Award. Following residency, he completed a fellowship of The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in New York.
Dr. Smith has published articles, chapters, and presented research nationally relating to facial plastic. He continues to advance the field of facial plastic surgery throughout his career with further publications, presentations, and educational efforts.
His practice is limited to facial plastic surgery, including non-surgical and surgical cosmetic facial interventions. He has offices in 3 convenient locations including Dublin, Gahanna-New Albany, and Grandview-Downtown.
